Statistics let you assess buyers’ interest in your property. They indicate interest by showing whether the people who saw your listing in their search results clicked on it to learn more.

Search results

In the statistics, the search results indicates the number of times your property (listing preview) appeared in a visitor’s search results. A display is therefore not a click through to your listing, but how many times your listing appeared, along with other properties that met the same search criteria.

Visits and visitors

The number of visits is the number of times your listing was consulted, while the number of visitors is the number of different buyers who consulted your listing. In other words, the number of visits includes the number of visitors. 

The number of visitors is calculated based on the IP address used to visit the site. Each visitor from that address is counted only once, even if they view the listing several times. However, a buyer who consulted the listing the first time at work and then another time at home will be counted as two visitors.

How to interpret the numbers

In the following example, during the 7-day reference period, that is, between November 22, 2024, and November 28, 2024, an average of 19 unique visitors (thus an average of 19 different IP addresses) and an average of 42 visits per day were recorded. This difference indicates that several buyers may have visited the listing more than once.

During this same period, the listing appeared in 2,584 search results and was visited a total of 309 times. Therefore, we understand that for each time the property was presented in the results, it was clicked at a rate of 12%. 

Note that the data will vary according to the type of property, its price range and location. For example, a luxury home or charming hobby farm will not appear in most searches, but will certainly pique visitors’ interest and therefore have a high number of clicks.Your results will likely vary depending on your efforts to increase your property’s visibility as part of your sales strategy (sharing on social media, having it appear in Featured Homes on the site, email alerts, etc.).
