Disposing of your DuProprio sign

Is your journey selling with the help of DuProprio coming to an end? Don’t need your sign anymore? Here’s what you need to know about how long to keep the sign up and the best ways to dispose of it afterwards.
Property sold
A property is considered sold when all the conditions in the offer to purchase have been met. Once that happens, congratulate yourself and put your “J’AI VENDU!” stickers on your sign.
As stated in our service terms, after your property is sold, the sign with the stickers must stay up for at least 2 months, or until the bill of sale has been signed at the notary’s office.

Recycling centre
Our signs are made of Coroplast®, which cannot be put in your recycling bin. However there are locations in Quebec that do recycle them.
To find the one nearest you, go to the Recyc-Québec site, in the Ça va où? section. Simply enter the name of your municipality and “Coroplast” in the search bar.
If there are no centres accepting this material in your area, check local organizations. Some may be happy to reuse them for crafts, decorating or to make other types of signage.
Pay it forward on the community site
You may already be part of the DuProprio discussion group on Facebook. Many homeowners offer their signs, add-ons and directional signs there when they no longer need them. If you want to do this, just post the list of items you want to offer and where you live. A photo can be useful to show what you’re offering.
To learn more about this, see the article Community of DuProprio client-sellers.
